New Brunswick Today was originally a local news website. Upon the debut of its first monthly print issue (December 2013) I became interested in the position and contacted the editor, Charlie Kratovil. NBT allowed me to break out of the microcosm of Rutgers campus and (finally) begin examining the goings on of a city through the lens of a professional reporter instead of just a college student. I soon fell into the role of healthcare reporter until I ultimately departed in May 2014 to begin working at Greater Media Newspapers.

New Brunswick Today continues to fulfill its mission of bringing hyper-local journalism to the city of New Brunswick.
